Some of you may or may not know, but I am co-leading the Central Texas XNA User Group along with Tim Thomas. Thanks to Tim’s hard work, we now have a revamped website! Check it out and let us know what you think.
The Central Texas XNA (CTXNA) User Group was started back in April of 2009 as a community effort to learn more about game development, focusing on the XNA tools provided by Microsoft. XNA is a great way to get started with 2D, 3D game and general graphics development and provides a wealth of helper and utility classes to do a lot of the common work that you would have to write your own classes and wrappers for if you were working directly in DirectX. The CTXNA user group meets every first Tuesday of the month in room 101 of the Davidson building on the campus of the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor in Belton, TX. If you’re interested in game development (at any skill level), especially development using XNA, you’re invited to join us! Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, November 3rd at 6:30pm. We usually get there between 6:00 and 6:30 for a meet & greet time if you like to be early.
